This wet-dry model is equipped with the company's upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that offers better mapping and obstacle avoidance. It uses dual-laser LiDAR -- similar to what is used in self-driving cars and is able to scan up to 32 feet in 270 degrees. This translates to more precise mapping, quicker response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also has a rotating mopping mat made of chenille. This makes it easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than traditional mops. In my tests, the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and was ready to go. I noticed that it was more precise than other models which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. The basic navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm and it's not equipped to map rooms. This renders it less efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able get under furniture and in the corners. Its mopping mode was very effective in our tests and picked up hairs that were straying and other debris.

It also allows you to send it to a specific room, and its advanced suite of automation features includes no-go zones and scheduling. It also allows you to pause and resume cleaning, making it perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles and can carry up to 30 days of dirt. It has a set of side brushes that are angled to reach into corners and a multi-stage filter system that collects dust, allergens and dander.
